Overview
Trekking in Kashmir offers a distinct trekking experience. A lesser-known trek known as Tarsar Marsar is typically undertaken in the summer months in the Kashmir region—also known as the “Switzerland of India.” Two high altitude alpine lakes, Tarsar and Marsar lakes, which are located at a height of 12,500 feet, will be explored throughout the journey. Aside from this, the Dachigam National Park path is filled with verdant meadows, crystal-clear rivers, and breathtaking mountains and valleys. Trekking around the lakes under a clear blue sky offers a breathtaking view and the opportunity to camp next to Tarsar’s emerald-blue lake. It is the greatest substitute for the Great Lakes Trek in Kashmir.
