Itinerary

Your trek to Kedartal begins in Gangotri, Uttarakhand. Arrive by 3 PM for a debrief and introductions with your team members.
If you arrive early, make the most of Gangotri:
Visit the Holy temple.
Stroll through the pine forests.
Explore the local market.
Strike up a conversation with a Sadhu.
Discover the secrets of the secret cave.
Enjoy a delicious dinner.
Overnight stay at the local guest house.

Take this day to rest and acclimatize in Gangotri.

The trail awaits! With the Kedar Ganga accompanying you on the left, you’ll ascend seriously today.
As you climb, the fresh pines give way to a thick grove of birch trees.
Bhoj Kharak, your first campsite, welcomes you. The birch trees provide much-needed shade, and the purple rhododendrons wave in the distance.
The stunningly jagged façade of Thalaysagar beckons from afar. And the final challenge for the day? The Spider Wall, a 60-degree slab of rock with just enough footing to get you to the other end.
Overnight stay in camps at Bhoj Kharak.

Today, adventure awaits! As you continue ascending steadily, a landslide from years ago has erased a 100-meter portion of the original trail.
It’s up to you to find a new way to traverse the mountainside.
You’ll come across a stable trail leading down to the Kedar Gunga river bed. Partially cross it before reaching solid ground on the other side.
Welcome to your next campsite, Kedar Kharak! Situated among the towering peaks of Drigubanth, Thalaysagar, and Jogin 3, it’s a truly spectacular spot.
Keep an eye out for herds of blue sheep!

The final leg of your journey takes you from Kedar Kharak (14,468 feet) to the stunning Kedar Tal (15,748 feet) and back.
The trail involves three ridges, primarily composed of deposited boulders and occasional dirt trails running along the top.
Cairns of rock towers guide your way, reminding you of the trail’s direction.
Summiting the first two ridges offers a sneak peek at the final ridge, leaving you curious about the sights beyond.
As you climb the third ridge, Kedar Tal lake appears like a frozen emerald below.
The gigantic views of Thalaysagar and other peaks put your everyday problems into perspective.
The Kedar glacier, motionless on your left, is the origin of the river that has accompanied you throughout.
Bid farewell to the divine Kedar Tal and descend, heading back to Kedar Kharak for an overnight stay.

The hard part is behind you! While the distance to cover is a little long, the trail to Gangotri is almost entirely downhill.
Your reward awaits—a soft, warm bed back in Gangotri and a chance to witness the famous aarti.
Rest well and prepare for your journey back home the next morning.

After breakfast, check out.
If you’ve booked transport with us, the vehicle will pick you up from Gangotri and drop you off in Dehradun by evening.
May your memories of this Himalayan adventure be as enduring as the mountains themselves!
